it's spring!

between the funeral, holidays, a wedding and a cold that just won't quit, i barely have any idea what day it is.  every day, penny is less of a baby and more of a little girl.  she attended two seders:

and a wedding, where she had a great time playing with the other guests her age - for real!

and had a super fun time yesterday hunting for eggs and eating delicious swedish vaffels with her friend katy belle.  apparently vaffels are whipped cream based - how are our friends so impossibly slim?

i can't wait for the weather to be reliably this gorgeous so we can be outside all the time!

where is spring?

it's april, and we're still waiting for spring.  the weather has been teasing us by making it up to 70 degrees while it's pouring rain and then plunging into the 30s.  luckily for us, we had a very beautiful weekend, and we made the most of it.
we spent all day sunday outside in the park!  penny was done with the playground in an instant, and decided to spend time in the grass.  have i mentioned that she now takes us by the hand to take us where she wants to go?  yeah.  this:

she had a great time running about in what was probably the biggest space she's had command of on her own:

also this weekend, i decided to give our tiny adorable baby a chocolate covered graham cracker.  for those of you who have ever seen me eat ice cream, or really anything at all, you will recognize this technique:
