week 19!

penny asked that her flying fish car be in the pictures with us this week, and i'm sure that if you had a flying fish car, you would include it in your belly photos too.

penny has been doing her best to keep me talking so she doesn't have to go to sleep, and it works pretty well most of the time.  tonight, i was on my way to the door when she told me "michaela has a bracelet with a special signal (ed. she meant symbol) on it that means love in hebrew.  shira has a watch.  and elias also has a watch.  but no one else's mama checks on them.  just me.  i guess i'm pretty lucky."

i'm pretty lucky too.

ok, i can definitely feel the baby moving now.  isn't this EXACTLY the same way it happened last time? why did i not learn?

is there any better day than circus day?  not in our house, there isn't!  the blue unit is in town, and penny has loved sandor since the very first time she saw the circus.

18 weeks!

Penny is spending the week with her grandparents for President's Week, so I am solo once again. The new kid is the size of a bell pepper now, and I still don't think I can feel him moving around in there....
I am thrilled that it's a bit warmer today - this winter has been absolutely brutal. Spring is on its way!

17 weeks!

hello!  it appears that winter will never end in new york - we've got a blizzard happening right now, and today i asked alex to help me get penny to school.  on snow days we've been putting penny in a sled and dragging her up the hill, but i just couldn't bring myself to do it this morning.
the baby is the size of a turnip!  it's all very exciting!
